We currently have three veterinarians on our staff.
Lori C. Johnson, DVM
Dr. Johnson became the new owner of Lone Rock Veterinary Hospital in December, 2001. However, she is not an unfamiliar face to clients, as she has taken care of dogs, cats, birds, and exotic pets at Lone Rock since 1988. Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Florida in 1981, ranking number 2 in her class of 80 veterinarians. She practiced in Buffalo, New York, for 2 years before moving to Evergreen, Colorado in 1983. Dr. Johnson takes care of dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, pocket pets, reptiles, and other exotic pets. During her many years in private practice, Dr. Johnson has developed special interests in feline medicine and surgery, soft tissue surgery, and geriatric wellness and management of geriatric diseases in dogs and cats. She holds active memberships in the American Animal Hospital Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, American Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Practitioners, Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, Cornell Feline Health Center, and the Denver Area Veterinary Medical Society. Her knowledge of the community, the practice, and most importantly, the patients, enables her to provide outstanding care to pets and their owners. Dr. Johnson lives with her husband and family of cats in Evergreen. She is committed to providing high quality and compassionate animal care to the residents of the 285 corridor community.
Dawn M. Goronja, DVM
Dr. Goronja joined the veterinary staff in February 2002. However, her association with Dr. Johnson began in May 2001 when they both were employed at another Veterinary facility. She studied in the Small Animal Tract exclusively during her D.V.M. education and graduated from Colorado State University in 2001. Dr. Goronja worked for several years as a Certified Veterinary Technician prior to attending Veterinary College. Dr. Goronja has special interests in soft tissue surgery and veterinary ophthalmology. She holds active memberships in the American Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, and Denver Area Veterinary Medical Society.
